Last year, we introduced our 'pay-what-you-can' initiative, which received an overwhelmingly positive response. We witnessed sold-out audiences and a significant increase in ticket sales, reaffirming our commitment to sustaining this initiative. However, to ensure its continuation and to support our artists with the increasing stipend amounts, we are reaching out for your assistance.
In addition to the rising stipend costs for our artists, we are facing escalating expenses, including soaring prices for materials like lumber, higher insurance premiums, and increased rental costs. This year, we are fortunate to have a modest financial reserve and have secured our first grant. Nevertheless, we still require $12,000 to stage 'The Hatmaker's Wife,' our most ambitious production to date.
