Support Theatre EVOLVE's 2024-2025 Season &
Keep the Magic of Theatre Alive!
At Theatre EVOLVE, we believe in the power of live theatre to transform lives and bring communities together. Two seasons ago, we launched our 'Pay-What-You-Can' initiative, making theatre accessible to everyone. The response was extraordinary—sold-out audiences and a surge in ticket sales confirmed that our community values the arts as much as we do. Now, to sustain this initiative and continue offering competitive stipends to our talented artists, we need your support.

This season, we’re proud to present our most ambitious production yet: the world premiere of MEDEAMEDEAMEDEA by award-winning playwright Olivia Buntaine. This captivating play, starring Mary Eliza Willingham and directed by our very own Artistic Director, Anna Rachel Troy, will take the stage at the Edge Off Broadway in May 2025. However, with rising costs for materials, insurance, and rental spaces, we face significant financial challenges. While last year we secured our first grant and have a modest reserve, we still need to raise $20,000 to bring MEDEAMEDEAMEDEA to life.
In addition to our mainstage productions, this year marks a period of growth and innovation for Theatre EVOLVE. We've expanded our team from 5 to 9 members and welcomed our first intern. We’ve also introduced "The Practicum," a new educational series that offers artists a space to create, network, and collaborate without the pressure of performance. This initiative reflects our ongoing commitment to nurturing artistic talent and building a vibrant, supportive community.

Your contribution, whether it’s $5, $50, or $500, plays a vital role in sustaining our programs. By donating, you're not just helping to produce a play—you’re empowering artists, supporting our Pay-What-You-Can program, and ensuring that Theatre EVOLVE remains a cornerstone of artistic innovation and accessibility in Chicago.
